About me....
Why hello! I'm Rupert Sharp a rotund geeky dude from Edinburgh, Scotland. That's the one with the kilts, wild haggis, Billy Connelly etc. etc. I work as a web developer/all round geeky guy at a social networking company based in Rosyth in Fife, lovely bunch of people.
I'm quite a laid back, friendly type of guy. Spend most of my free time online, with friends or having a quiet drink in the pub celebrating life, the universe and everything. I have a nice tight net of close friends and numerous friend/aquaintences who I've met through various social adventures and events and I'm always happy to meet new people.
Obsessions...
I'm quite a movie fanatic, mainly horror and thriller movies (classic stereotypically male choices I know) and spend alot of my time watching, re-watching and comparing the different movies I have in my collection. I love watching everything from hollywood shock horror to bizaree and creepy b-movies, compelling mystery films to clever lunatic driven thrillers such as Mr.Brooks.
My obvious other obsessions include computers, my cave bedroom office Davros-esque control center is a wild untamed mass of cables, hard drives and computers. I spend alot of time learning new languages, mucking around with computer games and tinkering with the inner workings of my machines. I'm quite well versed in the unholy operations of Windows and the powerful configurability of Linux, but not Mac... never Mac.
Opinions...
I'm a logical minded liberal, meat eating, leather wearing agnostic-christian, certainly no tree hugger though! I have some strong opinions although I'm always happy for people to challenge and debate them, life would be boring if we all believed the same thing (although probably alot more peaceful!). Strongly believe in equality amongst all races, creeds and religions and believe that a person should be responsible for there own mistakes and decisions and have the freedom act upon both.
Ambitions...
Mainly to improve and add to my knowledge and skills. Have had numerous ideas for interesting and useful sites I want to throw together, just need the spare time really! I'll showcase any and all my stuff in the projects section of the site so watch this space!
